Kappa Alpha Theta was established in 1870 as the first Greek-letter Fraternity for women. In the fall of 2014, Theta Kappa, the youngest sorority chapter at the University of Louisville, was established. A group of leading women made the decision of embarking on a journey by signing our charter. Now, almost 2 years later, the members of the Theta Kappa chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta continue to leave their marks both at our University and in our community. From nursing majors to future engineers, Thetas excel in the classroom. From our national philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), to Raise Red, Thetas are contributors to all different charities. We are competitors, we are sisters, and we are leaders. Beyond our accomplishments, the love our members have for each other and this organization is something that cannot be put into words. Each of us is now a part of something bigger than ourselves. We thought Theta, and we thought right!
