Kappa Alpha Theta was established in 1870 as the first Greek-letter Fraternity for women. In the fall of 2014, Theta Kappa, the youngest sorority chapter at the University of Louisville, was established. A group of leading women made the decision of embarking on a journey by signing our charter. Now, almost 3 years later, the members of the Theta Kappa chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta continue to leave their marks both at our University and in our community. From education majors to future nurses, Thetas excel inside and outside of the classroom. We continue to contribute to a variety of charities, including our national philanthropy, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). This past fall we raised almost $9,000 for CASA and will continue each year to surpass our goal! Beyond our accomplishments, the love and support our members have for each other and this organization is something that cannot be put into words. Each of us is now a part of something bigger than ourselves. We are sisters, we are diverse, and we are leading women!
